Our Hermes 4-stage adjustable CDI designed to work with all 2-pin IDM-based type ignitions (Varitronic, Vespatronic, Casatronic, Parmakit, Malossi,Scootpia Polini etc etc)
This plug and play item will work with any Lambretta/Vespa or automatic fitted with an aftermarket 2-pin variable ignition system based on the 4-pole IDM stator plate.
By replacing your supplied CDI unit that came with your ignition kit ,you will gain a Scooter thats easier to start, reduces kickback on starting and idle better at lower revs, this is all down to our special design inside the Hermes CDI.
The CDI itself is simple to fit, just unplug and remove your original CDI and replace it with the Readspeed item. However your ignition will need setting up using a strobe.The 4-stage unit offers an easy, fuss-free way to allow you to alter your advance/retard ignition setting quickly and easily by simply turning the switch to the desired setting. It can be altered depending on your engine’s characteristics, or even the quality of fuel you’re using. If it’s pinking for instance, just alter it to a safer setting.It's possible to also obtain improvements over the standard supplied CDI unit.
